Founded in 1890 as 'Zheng De Tang' in the Penghu Islands, the second-generation physician Yan Sih-hai brought traditional Chinese medicine herb techniques to Taiwan. In the 1990s, his descendants established 'Grandpa's Garden' in Tainan's Jianggun district, planting trees and cultivating herbs to create a contemplative space in modern literati style.
